The Knights of Columbus San Salvador Council will be taking part in this year’s Boot Up Philly Volunteer Day 10/24/2026 @ 8:00 AM (Location: St. John's Hospice - 1221 Race St Philadelphia, PA 19107)

SJH’s annual Boot Up Philly event takes place Saturday, October 24 is our annual service day at St. John's Hospice for "BootUp Philly."  This is one of our favorite volunteer days of the year, where we help provide shoes and other winter items for those most in need here in Philadelphia.

We will be arriving at 8:15 AM at St. John's Hospice (1221 Race Street  Philadelphia, PA 19107).  IMPORTANT NOTE: this is a different location from most years as they have shut down access to the Cathedral parking lot.  So DO NOT show up to the Cathedral Basilica in Center City this year.  They will be shutting down a big section of Race Street for this event instead in front of St. John's Hospice.

Parking will be extremely difficult.  I recommend either taking a bus, Uber or walking.

Gates open at 9:30 AM and we are usually there until about 1:00 PM to help with cleanup.

All are welcome.  Any amount of time you can volunteer this day will be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please message us.
